As we strive for better accuracy & coverage on the rates posted, there are times we just can’t keep track of all the places as this is still a ‘one leg kick’ (one man show) establishment. So because of this, I’d like to ask for a favor from you, our visitors in this little community, to help provide parking rates for the following areas/locations:

Jaya 33
Star Hill
Wisma Selangor Dredging
Hotel Maya
Chulan Square
Open parking lots around Zouk
Open parking lots around Bukit Bintang
Open parking lots near Jalan Alor
Hotels around Bukit Bintang (Golden Triangle area)
Hotels around Pudu
etc (will add more as time goes!)

We are also looking for Season parking rates around:

KLCC
Bukit Bintang
Bukit Damansara
Cyberjaya
Petaling Jaya – around Section 14-17/Uptown Damansara
and the office you’re working at!

All we need is the name of the location and a photo of the rates (as proof of authenticity & tracking) – don’t worry we’ll still accept handwritten ones but may take some time to be posted. Use our contribute form (or if you have difficulties, just drop us a comment below, use twitpic/tinypic for images and paste the link in)

While we still not publishing local municipal parking areas yet, we do accept them! Just send them in and when we have enough we’ll put up a special section for that!

We added a slightly different feature into KL Parking recently. Introducing Recommendations, located on the front page for now. If you have problem seeing the new Recommendations, try logging into Facebook and refresh.

Since we started our KL Parking Facebook Fan Page, we are glad to announce we made 500 Facebook Fans in a week!

*cough* By projected figures we should reach 1000 fans by next Monday, only if you share/suggest KL Parking to your friends! *cough*

The Fans has spoken

According to the poll we ran last week, “What do you think of KLParking.com’s design & layout?”, over 70% of the fans & visitors voted KLParking.com needed tweaks or a major overhaul.

We’ve listened, and we will be rolling out version 2.0 in the coming month, and we hope to improve your experience here. As you can see the front page had a major uplift and you’ll see changes like this throughout the entire site in the next few weeks. We’ll also roll out a few new features – some of which we’ll let you choose what features should be added as well! So look out for our next poll some time this week.

If you have a say regarding our new design, or maybe if you would like to contribute ideas, drop us a line and we’ll get back to you. Any constructive feedback are greatly appreciated.

In the mean time, we are trying to hit the magical 1000 fans on our Facebook page, so be a fan now!

Facebook Fan Page & Polls

Howdy!

It’s a been a long time since we added a few features to the site. Since it’s the beginning of the new month, I’ve created klparking’s own Facebook Page which garnered over 100 fans within 6 hours!

Another addition to the site are polls. Sole purpose of the polls is to garner your views on the site, as well as to help me identify where this site needs some hammering and possibly new features. All polls will expire in a week, so vote and help me improve this site.

This week we have two polls. Firstly I would like to know whether the layout and design of this site is sufficient enough for you. Is the content readable? User friendly enough? Vote away!

The second poll will be on the content itself. What other parking details are important to you? Is the map provided sufficient enough or do you require a physical address as well? Would services like car wash, buggy transport, parking bay notification interest you? Let me know by voting in the poll below.

Both polls will end in a week’s time (next Monday) so stay tuned for the results!

Help Needed!

Dear KL drivers,

Firstly, thank you for your continuous visits here and make sure to obey traffic rules and park well!

I’m currently having problems trying to identify the location or area of each parking spot that they are in. FYI: there’s over 15 areas with Damansara prefixes!

If you’d like to contribute by helping identifying the area a spot supposed to be in (especially the ones in PJ & Damansara), don’t hesitate to leave a comment or mail me through the feedback form.

I’m also looking for ways to help expand the site (content/geo tags/theme/etc). If you’d like to lend a hand do let me know too!

PS: Not sure how to contribute? Start off with the parking lot at your office or your favorite hangout spot!
